Makeup Academy in Lucknow
Courses taught by a working bridal artist, not a full-time instructor. Aashi has spent fifteen years doing makeup on real wedding mornings in Lucknow — which means what you learn here is what survives a forty-degree June afternoon and a fourteen-hour day, not what looks good for the length of a classroom demonstration.
Courses
Four routes in. Which one is right depends less on how much time you have than on what you intend to do with it.
Professional Makeup Course
The single-subject route. Makeup only, taken to a professional standard, with your kit included.
Makeup with Kit
45 days · Kit included
Anyone starting from zero who wants to work professionally on makeup alone.
Complete Makeup Artist Course
Three months covering everything a bridal booking actually asks of you. Makeup alone does not finish a bride — the hair and the drape are half the job, and the artist who cannot do them loses the booking to one who can.
Complete Makeup Artist Course
3 months · Kit included
The route to working bridal seasons on your own rather than assisting.
Includes
- Makeup with Kit — 45 days
- Hairstyling with Kit — 30 days
- Draping — 10 days
Crash Courses
Short, single-skill courses. For working artists filling one specific gap, and for anyone who wants a skill without committing to a full programme.

Personal Makeup Course
10 days
Not a career course — for brides-to-be and anyone who wants to do their own face properly.
Diploma
Six months, every discipline. The full professional qualification — makeup, hair, hair technology, draping, beauty and nails — for someone intending to run their own studio rather than work in someone else's.
Diploma
6 months · Kit included
The complete route, for artists who intend to work independently or open their own salon.
Includes
- Makeup with Kit — 45 days
- Hairstyling with Kit — 30 days
- Hairtech with Kit — 40 days
- Draping — 10 days
- Beautician with Kit — 30 days
- Nail Art with Kit — 15 days
Fees are quoted on enquiry, because they depend on the course and on whether you take it with a kit. Ask about one course and you get one number back →
Why train here rather than at a bigger academy
You are taught by someone still doing the work
Most academies are taught by full-time instructors. The techniques get older every season, because nobody teaching them is losing a booking when they stop working. Aashi is booked through the wedding season and teaches between it, so the syllabus moves when the work moves.
Batches of 10, because makeup is corrected by hand
You cannot learn to blend from the back of a room of thirty. The correction has to happen while your hand is still on the face — which only works if the person teaching can reach you. No batch here goes past 10 students, and that is a number you can check on the day you visit.
The business half, which is why most trained artists still fail
Plenty of artists can do a competent base and still never fill a season. What they were never taught is how to run a trial, how to price without apologising for it, how to handle a mother-in-law who wants a different look than the bride, and how to build a portfolio that gets the second booking. That is taught here as a subject, not as an aside.
Sit in on a free demo class first
Before you pay anything, come and watch one. You will see the room, the batch size and how the teaching actually works, which tells you more than any brochure — and it costs you nothing to find out the answer is no.
You will work on real faces
Every skin is different, and the difference is the entire job. Practice on live models is the only way to meet oily skin, textured skin, deep undertones and a face that has never worn makeup — before you meet them on a wedding morning with a photographer waiting.
Certification
On completion you receive a certificate issued by Aashi in association with Jawed Habib Studio.
Work from the studio
The standard the course is built backwards from.
Common questions
Do I get a certificate at the end?
On completion you receive a certificate issued by Aashi in association with Jawed Habib Studio. It is a record of what you trained in and for how long, from a working studio — not an accreditation from an examining body, and any academy telling you otherwise is worth a second question.
How many students are in a batch?
No more than 10. Makeup is corrected hand-on-face, so a batch that outgrows the person teaching it stops being teaching and becomes a demonstration. Come to the free demo class and count the chairs.
Do I need any experience to join a makeup course in Lucknow?
No. The Professional Makeup Course and the Complete Makeup Artist Course both start from skin anatomy and colour theory and assume you have never held a professional brush. The crash courses are the ones that suit someone already working who wants to close one specific gap.
Do you practise on real models?
Yes. You cannot learn to read a face from a mannequin, and you cannot learn to work under time pressure without someone sitting in the chair expecting to look good at the end of it.
Is a kit included?
Kit is included on the Professional Makeup Course, the Complete Makeup Artist Course, the Diploma and Advance Nail Art. The short crash courses and the Personal Makeup Course do not include one — on those you are learning technique, or learning to use your own products, rather than building a professional kit. Which courses carry a kit is marked on every card above.
What are the course fees?
Fees depend on the course and whether you take it with a kit. Send a message with which course you are asking about and you will get the figure and the next batch date.
Will this get me a job?
This is a skills course, not a placement agency. What it gives you is a portfolio, working technique and the business side — consultation, pricing and client handling — which is what actually decides whether an artist gets booked twice.
Dates go early in the season
Tell me your wedding date and venue, and I will confirm whether the date is open.
